The following highlights key projects and initiatives approved at the most recent Board of Supervisors meeting that directly impact the Fifth District.

Resolution of $5 Million for Arrowhead Grove Phase IV

This project continues the transformation of the old Waterman Gardens into a modern, mixed-income neighborhood with 534 homes. So far, the first three phases have already built 322 affordable homes for local families. Phase IV will bring 92 more affordable apartments, includes a community center, space for nonprofit services, and a new health clinic operated by Dignity Health to provide care close to home.

Bringing Sewer Service to more Bloomington Homes

The Bloomington Sewer Master Plan is the first big step toward bringing reliable sewer service to over 350 homes and businesses, replacing older septic systems, and protecting both public health and the environment.

Discretionary Funds Allocated for Animal Care Vehicle in Colton

Supervisor Baca has allocated $100,000 of his Discretionary Funding to aid the City of Colton and Colton Police Department for the purchase of an animal care services vehicle.

Archaeology Field Study Programs at Agua Mansa

Two new Field Instructors have joined the team to guide archaeology students at the historic Agua Mansa Pioneer Cemetery. The San Bernardino County Museum is now offering hands-on field courses that give students real-world archaeological experience while helping preserve our community’s history.
