The following highlights key projects and initiatives approved at the most recent Board of Supervisors meeting, that directly impact the Fifth District.

Improvements on Blake St and Other Roads

The County approved a $5.1 million contract to begin Phase 1 of the Blake Street and Other Roads Project, improving nearly 9.5 miles of roads in Rialto.

Work will include pavement repairs, new ADA-compliant curb ramps, updated signage, and striping to enhance safety and accessibility. Construction is expected to begin in May 2026 and be completed by Fall 2026, funded through SB1 road funds with no impact to general funds.

San Bernardino Fire Station 221 Improvements

The County approved additional funding to complete restroom upgrades at Fire Station 221, ensuring the facility meets current safety and ADA standards.

The project will improve working conditions for firefighters and is fully funded by the Fire Protection District with no impact to general funds.

Muscoy Fire Station 75 Improvements

The County approved a contract to construct a new storage building at Fire Station 75 in Muscoy, helping protect emergency equipment from weather damage and theft.

This improvement supports faster, more reliable emergency response for the community and is fully funded by the Fire Protection District with no impact to general funds.

Supporting Animal Care Services Across Our County

The County approved a contract to provide veterinary supplies for local animal shelters and services, ensuring pets receive essential care like vaccinations, spay/neuter services, and emergency treatment.

This investment supports the health and well-being of animals in our community and is funded through existing resources, including animal service fees.
