San Bernardino County and Fifth District Supervisor Joe Baca, Jr., proudly unveiled two new statues at Kessler Park—an inspiring tribute to the youth of Bloomington and a reflection of the community’s identity, pride, and potential.
The statues, created by renowned manufacturers Garner Holt, depict a baseball player and a softball player modeled after Bloomington High School students Nathaniel Estavillo and Stacy Lopez. Positioned at a prominent entrance of the park, the statues were designed to represent local youth and serve as a daily reminder that opportunity and success are within reach.
“These statues are more than just artwork—they represent the young people of this community,” said Supervisor Joe Baca, Jr. “When our kids walk through this park and see themselves reflected in these figures, it sends a powerful message that they belong, that they matter, and that their dreams are possible.”
The unveiling ceremony brought together community members, local leaders, and families to celebrate the installation, which is part of continued investments in Bloomington’s parks and public spaces. The project reflects the County’s commitment to uplifting underserved communities and creating environments where residents feel seen, valued, and inspired.
Beyond their visual impact, the statues are intended to foster a deeper sense of community pride—highlighting Bloomington’s strength, resilience, and dedication to its youth.
Nathaniel Estavillo shared his appreciation, stating, “It’s an honor to be represented here at Kessler Park for the whole community to see. I want to thank Supervisor Joe Baca, Jr. for making this happen.”
Stacy Lopez also reflected on the moment, saying, “To be recognized in this way is truly special. I hope these statues will inspire other kids in this community.”
Kessler Park has been the focus of significant improvements in recent years, reinforcing its role as a central gathering space for families and youth in the community.
