San Bernardino County Fifth District Supervisor Joe Baca, Jr. proudly partnered with the Jayden Daniels Foundation to host the first Community Day at Cajon High School—the alma mater of NFL quarterback and San Bernardino native, Jayden Daniels. The event brought together more than 1,000 local students and families for a day filled with school readiness, community connection, and family fun.

The event featured a backpack giveaway for 1,000 students, over 30 iPad raffles, and a local taco truck. Held at the football stadium named in Daniels’ honor, the day highlighted the athlete’s continued dedication to giving back to his hometown.

“This city means a lot to me, and to be able to give back to the community that helped raise me is a blessing,” said Jayden Daniels. “My goal is to inspire the next generation and let them know that nothing’s impossible with hard work and determination.”

Supervisor Baca’s office helped coordinate the participation of several San Bernardino County departments and agencies that provided on-site resources and services for families. These included the Public Defender’s Office, San Bernardino County Fire and Sheriff’s Departments, Probation, Public Health, Children and Family Services, Transitional Assistance Department, Regional Parks, Library and Museums, Animal Care unit, Arrowhead Regional Medical Center’s mobile clinic, and more.

“This event is about more than backpacks—it’s about showing our youth that they matter, that their community supports them, and that success is within their reach,” said Supervisor Joe Baca, Jr. “We are proud to work with Jayden Daniels and his foundation to bring something positive and impactful to the Fifth District.”

The event marked the Jayden Daniels Foundation’s first major community outreach effort and set the tone for future initiatives aimed at empowering and uplifting youth in underserved communities.
