Agenda Item #21 – $11M Commitment for the San Bernardino Homeless Outreach Prevention and Education Campus

The San Bernardino County Board of Supervisors approved a conditional commitment of up to $11 million toward the City of San Bernardino’s Homeless Outreach Prevention and Education Campus, a more than $36 million regional project that will provide 200 interim housing beds, recuperative care capacity and onsite services connecting individuals experiencing homelessness with medical care, behavioral health resources, employment services, case management, public benefits and pathways to permanent housing.

Agenda Item #29 – Expanding Diaper Support for LocalFamilies

The San Bernardino County Board of Supervisors approved an expansion of the National Diaper Bank Program partnership with Community Action Partnership of San Bernardino County, doubling monthly diaper distributions from 50 to 100 diapers per child and adding four packs of wipes each month for eligible families participating in County preschool programs. The program serves approximately 650 diaper-aged children and their siblings and is expected to distribute 600,000 diapers during the 2026-27 contract year, providing families with essential resources at no cost to them or the County.

Agenda Item #34 – Expanding Animal Care Capacity in Bloomington

The San Bernardino County Board of Supervisors approved $613,085 for the design of Phase II of the new San Bernardino County Animal Care Center in Bloomington. Phase II will add four kennel buildings with 120 additional kennels, bringing the planned campus to a total of 568 kennels, along with additional staff workstations, enhanced signage and site security improvements. This next phase builds upon the 56,000+ square-foot Animal Care Center currently under construction and will further expand the County’s capacity to provide modern, high-quality care and adoption services for animals in our communities.

Agenda Item #62 – Moving the New Fire Station 227 Forward in San Bernardino

The San Bernardino County Board of Supervisors approved an amendment to continue construction of the new Fire Station 227 in San Bernardino, part of a $13.7 million project replacing a station built more than 60 years ago. The new facility will strengthen fire, emergency medical and rescue services while improving operational efficiency and emergency response capabilities for residents and businesses. The latest work also includes safety and infrastructure improvements near the station, including a new four-way stop at 38th Street and Genevieve Avenue, with construction remaining on schedule.
