The long-awaited Kessler Park Dream Field is now officially open! On Friday, San Bernardino County Supervisor Joe Baca, Jr. unveiled the newly completed field in a ceremony attended by community leaders and baseball stars.

The field boasts state-of-the-art temperature-cooling turf, a towering 20-foot “Blue Monster,” Fenway Park-inspired red brick borders, and custom-built dugouts—all designed to provide young athletes with a professional-level playing experience.

Adding to the excitement, Dodger legends Manny Mota and Steve Garvey joined the celebration, inspiring the next generation of ballplayers in Bloomington.

As part of the ceremony, Supervisor Joe Baca, Jr. presented a $10,000 check to Bloomington Little League to support youth sports programs and ensure continued access to quality facilities.

Supervisor Joe Baca, Jr. expressed his enthusiasm for the project and its impact on the community:

“This Dream Field represents more than just baseball—it’s about giving our youth a space where they can grow, thrive, and dream big. Every community deserves access to a safe, high-quality sports facility, and I’m proud that we continue to deliver on that promise for the families of Bloomington.”

In recognition of the dedication and contributions of the Escoto family to youth sports, the Kessler Park snack bar was officially renamed the “Escoto Family Snack Shack.”

Additionally, in a historic tribute to the community’s young athletes, two students from Bloomington High School were chosen to be the new face of Kessler Park. Their legacies will be honored with statues featuring renderings of their facial features, last name, and jersey number—symbolizing the impact of local talent and dedication to sports.

Teresa Escoto, of Bloomington Little League, shared her gratitude for the project and offered words of encouragement to young athletes:

“I want all the kids to know that even if you don’t come from the best neighborhood, you deserve a safe space to create and live out your dreams. We’re very grateful to Supervisor Baca for bringing this vision to life and continuing to be a voice for Bloomington.”

Supervisor Baca, Jr. reaffirmed his commitment to investing in Bloomington’s youth, stating that projects like the Dream Field are about providing opportunities, building community pride, and creating lasting memories for future generations.
