San Bernardino, CA – Supervisor Joe Baca, Jr. hosted his Fall College & Career Day for local schools in the Fifth District, offering high school juniors and seniors valuable opportunities to develop professional skills, build strong resumes, and explore potential career paths. The event brought together over 200 students from San Bernardino County Schools, San Bernardino City Unified, Colton Joint Unified, and Rialto Unified School Districts.

“It’s important to provide these students with the tools they need to succeed in the future,” said Supervisor Joe Baca, Jr. “We opened up the Government Center for our students to learn about career pathways right here in their communities.”

The event showcased vendors offering job and college opportunities, along with workshops that provided insights into various career pathways. Students also had the opportunity to learn about entry-level positions within various San Bernardino County Departments such as Arrowhead Regional Medical Center, San Bernardino County Fire, San Bernardino County Sheriffs, Department of Public Works, and Office of the Public Defender.
