San Bernardino County, CA.- On June 14th, the San Bernardino County Board of Supervisors unanimously passed an $8.6 Billion County budget for the fiscal year that begins on July 1st, 2022. Supervisor Joe Baca, Jr. was able to secure $45 million in funding to replace the outdated Devore animal shelter. The new shelter will be built in Bloomington, California at the site of the old Ayala Park. The timeline for completion of this shelter will take between 3-5 years, with additional funding to be used for improvements to the Devore Shelter to continue its use as an emergency shelter and field operations office.
