Supervisor Joe Baca, Jr. proudly allocated $1.4 million in funding to the Rialto Police Department to support the creation of a Real-Time Crime Center (RTCC).
“The nearly $2 million dollars in technology funding will help establish the City of Rialto as a premier police agency in the County with its real-time crime center technology approach,” said Rialto Police Chief Mark Kling. “We are so grateful for the support that we received from Supervisor Joe Baca, Jr.”
With the anticipated opening of the RTCC in late 2025, the new center will serve as a centralized hub, allowing crime analysts, dispatchers, and officers to respond in real time to calls for service. The technology will support live video streaming, language translation, and collaborative efforts across cities in the Fifth District.
Rialto Mayor Joe Baca expressed his gratitude: “With Supervisor Joe Baca, Jr.’s support, our police department will have the tools to respond faster and keep our community safer. The new Real-Time Crime Center is a major step forward in protecting our residents and giving our officers the technology they need.”
“Keeping our communities safe is a top priority,” said Supervisor Joe Baca, Jr. “This is about more than just safety—it’s about peace of mind for every resident, business owner, and family who calls this community home.”
This project underscores Supervisor Baca, Jr.’s ongoing commitment to public safety and his support of local law enforcement through strategic investments in technology, infrastructure, and community partnerships.
