Supervisor Joe Baca, Jr. brought the community together for the third annual Kite Day at the beautiful Kessler Park in Bloomington. The event was a resounding success, with 173 children and their families enjoying a day of outdoor fun, community connection, and engaging activities.
“It was a day of fun, family, and feeling good,” said Supervisor Joe Baca, Jr. “We wanted our families to just enjoy a day off their phones, being active, and spending quality time together.”
The event featured a variety of activities and entertainment, including vendor booths hosted by County partners, arts and crafts stations, delicious food options, and live entertainment. Families had the opportunity to connect with local organizations and enjoy a fun-filled day under the sun.
This year’s Kite Day was made possible through the support of key community partners, including Bloomington Recreation & Park, Bloomington Little League, and Olive Branch. Their commitment to fostering community engagement and youth activities played a crucial role in making the event a success.
Supervisor Baca’s Kite Day has become a cherished tradition in Bloomington, bringing families together and emphasizing the importance of stepping away from screens to enjoy quality time in a safe and welcoming environment.
