Rialto, Ca – On January 21, 2025, Supervisor Joe Baca, Jr. proudly joined community members and local leaders to celebrate the ribbon cutting for the newly constructed study rooms at the Rialto Branch Library. This $824,000 project, made possible through a combination of $700,000 in American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) funding and additional contributions from County Library funds, came in response to community requests for enhanced library spaces that support studying, learning, and professional growth.

The study rooms provide a much-needed resource for the Rialto community, offering quiet and comfortable spaces for students, professionals, and residents looking for a focused environment. Supervisor Baca highlighted the importance of this project during the ceremony: “After touring many other libraries in the County system and seeing their modern facilities, I knew our residents in Rialto deserved a space just as nice. These study rooms ensure our community has access to the tools and resources they need to succeed.”

By identifying and addressing community needs and working collaboratively with local organizations, impactful projects like this can be realized, benefiting the entire region.

Rialto Mayor Joe Baca celebrated the new addition to the Rialto community, adding:
“I want to thank Supervisor Joe Baca, Jr. for his dedication to serving our residents and for this wonderful partnership. The City of Rialto is committed to continuing our collaboration with you and the County to bring meaningful projects like this to life for our residents.”

The new study rooms are now open to the public and are available to all library visitors. Residents are encouraged to visit the Rialto Branch Library and take advantage of this newly improved space.
