Bloomington, CA – Supervisor Joe Baca, Jr.’s Fourth Annual Holiday Giveaway brought smiles and joy to the underserved and often overlooked community of Bloomington as he adopted Ruth Grimes Elementary School for this year’s event. On December 10th, all students at the school received toys and enjoyed a delicious meal generously provided by In-N-Out Burger.
Additionally, Supervisor Baca, Jr. made a significant contribution by donating $5,000 to Ruth Grimes Elementary School, further supporting the school’s students and programs.
“We are so grateful to Supervisor Joe Baca, Jr. and everyone who made this event possible. I’ve never seen our students so happy, and they definitely feel all the love that is being poured into them by their community,” said Dr. Judith Servin, Ruth Grimes Principal.
This year’s giveaway was Supervisor Baca, Jr.’s largest to date, marking a significant milestone in his ongoing efforts to support families and children in the Fifth District.
“This year, we adopted all 700 students at Ruth Grimes Elementary in the underserved, unincorporated community of Bloomington,” said Fifth District Supervisor Joe Baca, Jr. “These students are deserving of a memorable holiday season no matter their circumstance.”
The event would not have been possible without the generosity of Bank of America and Marine Corps Reserve Toys for Tots, who donated all the toys, making a substantial impact on the success of the day. Additional support came from the Sheriff’s Employees’ Benefit Association (SEBA), which provided the In-N-Out meals, as well as County partners, including Fire, Sheriffs, Probation, California Highway Patrol, Children and Family Services, Museum, Library, and Code Enforcement.
